Elliott Yamin, Kimberly Caldwell and Justin Guarini were on Larry King Live and Ryan Seacrest was listening in to the festivities, so you knew it would be an interesting interview.
The trio sounded off about the judges and were professional about their comments. Ryan did admit that he found out about the final two beforehand, and he admitted that he’ll know who is the winner before anybody else does.
Larry King called Ryan a sadist. hehe
As for the trio, Yamin is of utmost importance at the moment, since he just came out with a new album.
And here’s his new single, “Fight For Love,” which dropped recently. Listen to it below.
And you can watch Caldwell and Guarini guide us through another season of American Idol and much more on the TV Guide Channel.

Elliott Yamin’s new album “Fight For Love” is out everywhere today! Go to my Amazon links on my other American Idol page, search for Elliott Yamin and buy it there.
Yamin’s new album is getting some nice feedback already and so let’s get the word out and sell, sell, sell!
This is Yamin’s second album and it looks like it’s getting better buzz than the first. But if you’re a fan of his first self-titled joint, you can buy that here too.

Even though Yamin’s new album, “Fight For Love” isn’t out yet (his single, “Fight For Love” is though and you can get it on iTunes), we have a sneak peek at one of his new songs off the album, “Know Better.”
Why this guy hasn’t won any Grammys is beyond my realm of comprehension. He is far and away the best Idol male singer EVER (including Daughtry and David Cook) in terms of his vocal ability.
Hopefully the spotlight will start shining on Yamin, who is the most overlooked singer I know of.

It’s been a busy week for us, since Idol 8 is now underway. This week they’ll go to auditions in Salt Lake City, followed by San Juan, Puerto Rico and wrap up in New York.
Meanwhile, Idols of old have been making news. Here’s what happened this week:
Kelly Clarkson announced last week that her new album would be coming out, but now in an attempt to boost her record sales her company has issued a free download of her new song, “My Life Would Suck Without You.” Talk about a downer title for a song! They couldn’t have picked a more eye-catching tune, unless it were called “I’ll Blow My Brains Out Unless You Buy My Song.” I’m just hypothesizing here, but c’mon, people…Really…
Guess who’s coming to your Super Bowl party? After a much-needed break in which three members of her family were reportedly murdered over some money and a domestic squabble, Jennifer Hudson will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show. I doubt seriously if there will be any “wardrobe malfunction,” but you never know. This will mark the first time Hudson has performed since the grisly murders of her mother, brother and nephew. Here’s hoping she can get her career back where it was; obviously it’s gonna be hard carrying the memories of her loved ones.
And finally, Elliott Yamin will be releasing his second album on May 5. He says he has written about 35 songs for the album, but they’re still in the selection stages and so there has been no decision as to which ones will be on it. When we know, we’ll certainly give you that information. But here’s some more: Yamin has been working with the likes of J.R. Rotem and Jermaine Dupri, so it’s gotta be pretty good. Nothing Yamin usually does is bad and so I’m really looking forward to his album.
Well, as I indicated Idol 8 is off and rolling, but we’ll keep you up-to-date on all the big news every weekend, the things that aren’t happening at Idol 8.
