Adam Lambert Reveals His New Band Members And Much More - American Idol

adam-lambert-band-2.jpg

Adam Lambert has already generated his fair share of controversy this year, and he has decided to end 2009 with a bang!

First off, he has now released his old album, entitled “Take One,” which is a recording of his early work.

The track list includes the following songs:

1. First Light
2. Climb
3. December
4. Fields
5. Did you need it
6. More Than
7. Wonderful
8. Castleman
9. Hour Glass
10. Light Falls
11. Bonus Tracks-Remixes: Want, Spotlight, & On With the Show

Ah, there’s “Want” and “On With The Show.” Hmmm, weren’t these the recordings that had Idol producers in a tizzy? Why, yes they were! LOL

Funny they came out now, with his new album “For Your Entertainment” not doing as well as some had hoped. Putting out “Take One” may be a ploy to get more record sales for Lambert, who knows?

But wait, there’s more. Lambert also announced his new band mates, which usually means there’s a tour coming up. And the list is pretty formidable. First, he snagged Yellowcard’s drummer, not an easy task, as well as a female keyboardist named Lisa (she’s in the nattily clad duds there).

All I can say is look forward to some very interesting music coming to a place near you.

Adam Lambert - For Your Entertainment - New Album - Track List Released Today - American Idol

adamlambertforyourentertainment.jpg

Well, folks, the track list for the highly anticipated and new Adam Lambert album has finally been released. What a trippy album cover!

1 Music Again 3:16 – Rob Cavallo, Justin Hawkins of the Darkness
2 For Your Entertainment 3:35 – Claude Kelly/Dr. Luke
3 Whataya Want from Me 3:47 – Pink, Max Martin
4 Strut 3:29 – Adam Lambert, Kara DioGuardi
5 Soaked 4:33 – Muse
6 Sure Fire Winners 3:32 – Rob Cavallo
7 A Loaded Smile 4:04 – Adam Lambert, Linda Perry
8 If I Had You 3:48
9 Fever 3:26 – Lady Gaga
10 Sleepwalker 4:25 – Aimee Mayo, Chris Lindsay, Ryan Tedder
11 Aftermath 4:26
12 Broken Open 5:03
13 Time for Miracles Bonus Track 4:43 – Writers: Alain Johannes & Natasha Shneider; Producer: Rob Cavallo

As expected, Rob Cavallo was a large part in the songwriting process, as was Lady Gaga.

Why, even Pink and Idol’s own Kara DioGuardi get in on the fun, adding their wisdom and pen to several songs on “For Your Entertainment.”

What Lambert fans will find with this album is that it’s not a rocker joint; it’s actually more dance-y tunes, and things you might find in a club as opposed to a sold-out arena.

That’s the type of thing Lambert was known for before he became famous–and infamous–with his success on Idol.

So, in a way, it’s more of the same with a bit of the new thrown in for good measure.

And, don’t run out to buy the 2012 soundtrack, because his new single “Time For Miracles” is the last track on the album.

Also, his first official single off the album, “For Your Entertainment” is available on iTunes today. If Today.com had a way in which I could sell the download, I would. But there isn’t a way, so find it on iTunes. This album link below might be it; I’m not sure. Anyway, enjoy!

Adam Lambert - Time For Miracles - New Video From 2012 Soundtrack - American Idol

Adam Lambert opened up what should be an interesting month, American Idol-wise, as his new single from the 2012 soundtrack “Time For Miracles” was released to the general public today.

Of course, Sony had their way about everything and so nobody gets to see any real snippet of the video, unless you know how (Hint: MySpace).

But what we do have for you is a preview of the song below. It’s not the greatest in terms of quality, but for now, it will have to do.

You can catch 2012 in theatres starting today, and Lambert's new album, "Time For Entertainment" is coming in early 2010.

So, the question remains: despite losing Idol to Kris Allen, will Lambert be the next breakout star from the Idol alumni? I'd bet yes.

Here’s the video preview. Sounds a little rockerish, a tad Aerosmith, and somewhat Lambert. Not a bad start, if you ask me.

American Idols Live Tour 2009 Winds Down - American Idol 8

With American Idol 9 on the horizon and So You Think You Can Dance back on the air in just a week, it’s time to put an end to the 2009 American Idols Live! Tour, which has had some good moments, mainly from Adam Lambert.

Lambert kinda ticked off a few people by boycotting some of the meet-and-greets with fans, but overall his singing has put him in a class all his own on the tour.

An absolute showman, Lambert has set aside the constant personal attacks and just went out and did his thing.

Proof of that is below, at a show he did in Madison, Wis.

Adam Lambert - “Bowie Medley”

All in all, this set is great and Lambert’s future–whatever that may be–is bright. He should probably lay off ditching all the meet-and-greets, really, but he should have a few good albums before it’s all said and done.

The one nagging thing, however, is whether or not he’ll end up like another talented but often misunderstood singer, Taylor Hicks. He’ll either end up like Hicks or Clay Aiken.

I think he ends up like Aiken. What do you think?

Adam Lambert Calls His Female Fans Sweaty, Smelly, Touchy-Feely - American Idols Live! Tour 2009

adamcovershoot1.jpg

Adam Lambert’s musicianship is unparalleled, but his people skills need some serious work. A good way to alienate the fans that pay your bills is to ridicule them, and that’s exactly what Lambert’s doing.

Not only is he not attending the obligatory meet and greet sessions following his concerts he’s doing with the other Idol 8 Top 10 finalists, but now he’s gone to the airwaves to tell the women to take baths. Seriously.

From Velocity Live Radio:

There’s a lot of very interesting fan encounters…very, very overzealous fans, and I love them all. They’re super supportive, and they obviously put me where I am. You know, if it weren’t for these fans, I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I did. Um, sometimes…they’re a little sweaty. A little smelly, um…a little too touchy feely. And some of the gifts are interesting. You know, I got like an inflatable kangaroo at one point, four feet tall…and I kind of was like, ok, well…thank you, this is sweet, what the f*** am I going to do with this?…Putting in the corner, yeah…and I don’t have a lot of room on the bus.

Well, Lambert could always throw the inflatable kangaroo out with the dildos the women are always throwing on his stage. C’mon, man, it’s getting a little lame now. Even the divas are getting pissed off at your diva-ish behavior.

Grow up, Lambert, and realize it’s the women buying the tickets for your shows. They’ll be buying your albums, downloading your iTunes. So ease up on the females.

Is Adam Lambert Becoming A Diva? - American Idol 8

adamcovershoot.jpg

Adam Lambert may be a bit too full of himself lately, with his demands that he can’t be bothered with trivial things like fans and whatnot.

What a joke! Lambert is out there to make money for the show, not to be a diva. This Twitterpating he’s doing is right out of something you’d expect to see with Mariah Carey, or Britney. Don’t believe me? See for yourself:

adamtwitter3.jpg

At least he says it’s “doctors orders,” but how long will this go on? You know the fans are already angry; they’re slamming him on the meesage boards something fierce.

So it had better only be a matter of time before he’s back, or the resentment will grow.

And what is with this photo shoot he’s doing? You can see from the top photo that’s it’s mondo wacky.

American Idols Live! Hits The Boardwalk - Atlantic City NJ

American Idols Live! visited the Boardwalk of Atlantic City this weekend, and from the sounds of it the crowd wasn’t as crazy as other audiences.

Nonetheless, the Idols put their all into the show, especially Adam Lambert, who sang five songs and busted out “Starlight.”

Blake Lewis was in the audience as well, giving the Idols some encouragement. I mean, it wasn’t the crowd’s fault; apparently security told the crowd to sit down at some point during the show.

Also, Boardwalk Hall is usually reserved for acts like the old Miss America Pageant and other old-ass acts. WTF were the Idols doing there?

Shouldn’t they have been playing somewhere larger? Some questions should probably be asked and will be asked after that show. Dear God, what were the producers thinking sending the Idols there?

Anyway, the tour rolls on and I’m cure it will be better at the next stop.

Get tour tickets while they last below.

Kris Allen, Adam Lambert, David Cook Play Good Morning America - American Idol

A most unlikely trio took the stage today on ABC’s Good Morning America during its Summer Concert Series.

David Cook, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen (wha?) were on Manhattan’s Central Park for the concert series this morning and they shared their thoughts on Paula Abdul leaving the show.

Cook, Lambert, Allen - Interview

Needless to say, the trio were “heartbroken” that Abdul decided to call it quits. But Lambert said she’ll “bounce back.”

The other shocking news today was that the trio for together and sang a Fleetwood Mac song, “Little Lies.”

While “Little Lies” is a part of Cook’s repertoire when he performs at shows, it was surprising nonetheless to see the trio singing the song.

And, it actually sounded good, considering it was more of an impromptu thing.

American Idols Live! Tour 2009 - Charlotte NC - Anoop Desai Enjoys His Homecoming Plus Michael Sarver Bonus Video

anoop-tour-char.jpg

Anoop Desai headed home to North Carolina last night, playing to a packed house in Charlotte.

He looked dapper and seemed deeply moved that he was performing back at home and that the fans were deeply into his performance.

There have been some really good shows that have come from singers going back to their hometowns; this one was also part of that elite group.

Anoop Desai - “Always On My Mind”

We also have a good video of Michael Sarver, the oil roughneck we haven’t heard from much on the tour, largely because the big three of Adam, Kris and Allison get all the kudos.

So here is Sarver singing his song in Charlotte last night.

Adam Lambert Arrives In His Hometown, San Diego - American Idols Live! Tour - July 18, 2009

Adam Lambert and the rest of the American Idol 8 Top 10 stopped off in San Diego, Lambert’s hometown at the next stop on the American Idols Live! Tour.

They played the San Diego Sports Arena to a capacity crowd, eliciting screams from the audience.

Some very good video was also taken (thanks dvjuarez) at the concert from somebody who had a front row seat.

Adam Lambert and the Top 10 - “Don’t Stop Believing”

It seems to me, that as the tour continues on, Lambert is picking up steam while the other singers are kind of in the background.

For example, Lambert’s songs are more passionate, have more feeling and seem to elicit the kinds of emotions from the crowd that a good rock concert would have.

Here’s another Lambert song for your viewing enjoyment from the show.
