Not a whole heckuva lot going on from the David Cook camp of late, but one interesting side note is that Cook played his entire album from beginning to end for a few fortunate concert goers in Hammond, Indiana last night.
It marked the first anniversary of his record. Way to go, Cook!
For the second song, called “Life On The Moon,” we actually get to see Cook and his band play the tune, amid the Cookeys freaking out and threatening to do things to Cook that are unspeakable, you know, the usual. LOL
After you’ve heard a few “Ow!” and “Yeah, baby, I can do it any way you want,” anything is fair game, right? The Cook fans are out of control, in a respectable way. Right? Right?!? All I’m hearing are crickets.
The nice thing about that is that Cook played several songs which don’t get a lot of airplay, including his single “Avalanche.”
It’s a tad dark for my taste (I mean, the lighting) but it’s the song we wanna hear, right? Here it is below:

David Cook continued what seems like his endless tour on Saturday night, this time ending up in Ottawa, Canada.
Considering that Cook has always had some of the most rabid fans of all the former American Idols, you know you’re in for a show when Cook takes the stage.
Usually, the show comes from the fans, too, who have been known to throw bras and other assorted things onstage while ransacking his tour buses afterward.
Ah, it’s all part of Cook’s charm, right? Anyway, here’s Cook singing Bon Jovi’s “Livin On A Prayer,” which is obviously not a David Cook song but is entertaining with a capital E.
And, it’s an acoustic version to boot. Listen below:

A most unlikely trio took the stage today on ABC’s Good Morning America during its Summer Concert Series.
David Cook, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen (wha?) were on Manhattan’s Central Park for the concert series this morning and they shared their thoughts on Paula Abdul leaving the show.
Cook, Lambert, Allen - Interview
Needless to say, the trio were “heartbroken” that Abdul decided to call it quits. But Lambert said she’ll “bounce back.”
The other shocking news today was that the trio for together and sang a Fleetwood Mac song, “Little Lies.”
While “Little Lies” is a part of Cook’s repertoire when he performs at shows, it was surprising nonetheless to see the trio singing the song.
And, it actually sounded good, considering it was more of an impromptu thing.

David Cook always does things in a classy way. For example, instead of singing a song that would have been below par in comparison to The King Of Pop, Cook just had a moment of silence.
That’s a far cry from the people (no names mentioned) who actually tried and failed to deliver even a decent perofrmance of a Jackson song.
There is a reason that MJ’s The King of Pop, you know, and it’s one that a lot of people, professional singers included, are forgetting these days now that MJ is gone.
But Cook didn’t and that’s why he’s okay in my book. He’s real, he’s genuine, he’s been through some shit in his life like MJ and his fans love him. He is a true American Idol and this gesture proves it.

The Internet is all abuzz about David Cook having a girlfriend. Just Jared is reporting that Cook is dating “Scene Queen” Lana Jade, who lists her residences as LA, NYC and DC. What…and forget Miami? LOL
Anyway, Jade has been in the musical RENT and according to her Twitterpating, is an art student.
Jade would also like to dispel rumors that she isn’t dating Cook, recently Tweeting the following: “I’m single…can I repeat that again?”
I’d like to answer Miss Jade. Yes, if only it were true. LOL Obviously she’s got something going with Cook and I’ll bet the Cookies are pissed right about now.
In fact, some of the heavy-set ones (or all of them) are planning a hostile takeover. From what I know of those Cookies, they would break Jade in half.

Wow. If the numbers from the recent concert in Manila, Phillippines are correct, the two Davids are rock stars in Asia.
Apparently, the duo played in front of over 50,000 fans. That’s Idol power for you.
Listen to “A Daily Anthem” above.

So what if we didn’t get Idols Give Back this season because of the lax economy.
What we’ll see on Wednesday’s Idol finale will far outweigh anything we’ve seen in quite some time, if you look at the guest list.
Jason Mraz, David Cook, Carlos Santana, Queen Latifah, Black Eyed Peas, Lionel Richie and Keith Urban are all scheduled to appear.
Other hot rumors circulating around cyberspace are KISS and possibly even David Bowie, the latter of which would duet with Adam Lambert–if the producers can make it work.
And those are just the ones we know about. There are probably others. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Today David Cook announced that his brother Adam, an attorney from Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away after a long battle with brain cancer. He was 36.
It’s a sad and tragic ending to what has certainly been a trying time for the Cook family, I’m sure. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Cook family.
On a side note, cancer is something that affects everyone, ignoring race, social class and financial need.
I think it’s something that every family has dealt with. I have certainly had family members who have died from the disease.
But it also goes to show us that life can be gone in an instant and that we truly have to hold on to what we have, for before we know it, it all might be gone.
All the best to David Cook, who made the public announcement during a 5K race called the Race For Hope that he ran to help raise money for cancer research.
How touching, and how wonderful that Cook still ran the race, despite knowing his brother passed away earlier that morning, at 1 a.m. back in Indiana. And how truly sad. His announcement is in the video above.

David Cook was on Free Radio on VH1 recently and he explained how it was advantageous to bring your band mates along for the ride.
Of course the idiot interviewer/intern Lance didn’t get it, but he doesn’t get anything. LOL
David explained that he brought a few of his band mates from Tulsa to his new band and that it’s not a dictatorship; it’s a “constitutional monarchy.” Well, at least it’s not a democracy; we wouldn’t want that now would we?
Cook taped this segment before he started his now-infamous college tour, in which crazy fans are defacing his tour bus and causing Cook and his buddies from Tulsa some grief.
So much so, in fact, that Cook has cancelled two of his tour dates, citing “personal reasons.” Anyway, I think it’s more because he might be taking some of the treatment he’s receiving personally. His crazy Cookies are out of control!
And he shared with Lance and the emo girl that he’s been playing music in bands since the tender age of 15, which is one year less than what Allison Iraheta is now.

Megan Joy may have been kicked off of American Idol last night, but the real star of the show was David Cook, last year’s winner. Not only is Cook a good guy, but he’s funny and real. He isn’t pretentious like other Idols have been and that’s a nice thing to see.
Cook is still doing his thing, too, despite having some family problems–and of course the well-publicized problems with his fans taking too many liberties. Heh. Anyway, Cook was on Idol last night singing his song “Come Back To Me” from his self-titled album, which you can also purchase right here!
“Come Back To Me” also has a new video, which we will put up here as soon as I get hold of it.
Until that time, enjoy his performance of “Come Back To Me,” which took place last week at a concert at Penn State University. It’s pretty solid; I think you’ll dig it.
UPDATE: Cook video is up! Thanks, 19 Recordings.
