Adam Lambert Appears On Ellen Today To Discuss AMA Performance - American Idol
Adam Lambert was on the Ellen show today to discuss, in part, what happened at the American Music Awards last week.
If you were under a rock you may have missed out. In sum, Lambert had a somewhat quaestionable performance in which he simulated a sex act on national TV, enraging conservative groups around the country.
Now that Ellen’s of course an Idol judge, it might be easier for Lambert to open up about what really happened, as opposed to what he said while being interrogated on the CBS Early Show last week. LOL
Lambert admitted he was nervous during the AMA’s and he said he got caught up in the moment, being that it was the first time he’d been on TV since Idol.
He said it was “maybe a little too far,” and added that it “wasn’t the best first impression.” He stated he didn’t want to “disrespect anybody.”
He did add, however, that he said the audience may have not been used to the “gay male image portrayed on TV.” I think that’s the most important thing he’s said to date, and it says alot about his character. Pretty impressive, really, for him to come out and say it.
Here’s the interview with Ellen:
And for a bonus, enjoy “Whataya Want From Me” from his new album:

Adam absolutely has the most amazing voice I have ever heard, and his debut album is awesome. Theatrics and controversy aside, he has the potential of being one of the most remembered interpreters of song. I look forward to hearing him sing for years to come, and I hope he branches out into some epic films!
