Well, it looks like some people’s worst nightmares may have been confirmed. Victoria Beckham, er Posh Spice, hasn’t done squat since she and her husband, soccer star David Beckham, traveled across the pond.

But things may soon be changing, because one source says American Idol and TPTB are in talks to make Beckham’s stay on Idol permanent AND she’s in Boston today for Idol 9 auditions. Dear God, no.

From Radar Online:

Beckham will help judge callbacks for contestants who tried out but were invited back for another round, according to reps for the Fox network.  Beckham was a guest judge last Friday for auditions in Denver, but it was originally described as a one-time appearance.

Last week in Denver, Beckham said she was a huge fan of  American Idol and nervous about being a judge. “My heart is about to jump out my throat,” she said.

She also said she was looking forward to any criticisms Simon Cowell may have for her.

“I have a British sense of humor. I’m quite welcoming to it,” Beckham said.

Well, I’m not quite “welcoming” to the fact that Beckham could be a judge. But I guess we may have to get used to the idea. She may be here to stay, now that Katy Perry has reportedly turned down the show’s offer.

Even so, I’m not willing to give Beckham a place on my list until she has signed the bloody contract.
