Shocker: Adam Lambert Pre-Idol Debut Album Due Out This Summer - American Idol 8
Before Adam Lambert was the star that he is today, he was a struggling musician trying to keep a roof over his head. You know, the usual stuff artists go through.
And now that he’s made his mark on the world of music, the record label for whom he wrote and performed vocals, Hi-Fi Recordings and Wilshire Records, plans to release a pre-Idol album called “On With The Show.” His single, “Want,” is already up on the label’s Web site.
Bet that will go over well with 19 Recordings. Heh. Anyway, here’s Lambert’s official statement he sent through 19 regarding the decision he made several years ago to work with the small label and the repercussions it may have on the post-Idol album:
“Back in 2005 when I was a struggling artist, I was hired as a studio singer to lend my vocals to tracks written by someone else. I was broke at the time and this was my chance to make a few bucks, so I jumped at the opportunity to record for my first time in a professional studio. The work I did back then in no way reflects the music I am currently in the studio working on. I’m thrilled to be working with some of today’s hottest songwriters and producers and can’t wait for people to hear what my music really sounds like.”
I guarantee 19 will try to do something about this record. If they can do anything at all to stop it, they will. Your thoughts?

Stumble It!
