Numerous Sources Say Jennifer Hudson Is Pregnant - American Idol

Jennifer Hudson is pregnant, according to numerous sources. And the daddy is David Otunga, better known as “Punk” when he vied for reality TV star New York’s love on VH1’s I Love New York 2.

Hudson just had her baby shower Saturday, and Hudson is about seven months along at this point.

And something is obviously going on, because she has cancelled or postponed several appearances.

From the Sun-Times:

She recently postponed dates on her concert tour with Robin Thicke, claiming vocal cord strain. She has worn loose-wasted tops at some recent public appearances, furthering the speculation.

Well, let there be no speculation now. And this is definitely welcome news for somebody who has seen a lot of bad things in the past year.

Breaking News - Susan Boyle Eliminated - Britain’s Got Talent

Published by bjcrock under Uncategorized Edit This

The run of Scottish singer Susan Boyle came to an end tonight on Britain’s Got Talent.

She came in second place to a dance troupe called Diversity. How ironic. Wow. But Boyle has left us with irreplaceable memories, things that won’t go away in one night.

She has really given weight to the fact that Idol needs to raise its age limit to better accomodate all singers, not just teenyboppers.

Also, Boyle will definitely be heard from again, so look for an album here shortly. This isn’t the last you’ve heard from Boyle.

Diana DeGarmo Stalker Is Thrown In Jail - American Idol

dianadegarmounpluggedinnashville.jpgtanya-maree.jpg

If you think you can’t get jail time for harrassing a famous person, think again. Even if it’s Diana DeGarmo, who isn’t exactly mentioned in the same breath as Clay Aiken.

And as you can see from this action photo of Tanya Marie Quattrochi, she is not a happy camper, uh, stalker. Compared to DeGarmo, you can see some similarities. But that’s where the niceties end. Maybe DeGarmo’s stalker just wants to be on Diana’s new album cover.

And definitely don’t stalk your fave Idol in Australia, because if you do, you’ll be dealing with this:

Tanya Maree Quattrocchi, 23, hacked into the MySpace account of 2004 runner-up Diana Degarmo and wreaked havoc on the pop singer’s life for three years, intercepting her emails and texting her hundreds of times, the HeraldĀ Sun reports.

And what did Tanya Marie get for her troubles? Why she got 26 months in the slammer, 12 of which will be of the non-parole variety. And she’s a repeat offender.

She pled guilty to four counts of stalking DeGarmo. So the moral of the story is, don’t stalk your fave Idol, even if they are really only on Gone Country and aren’t really heard from all that often. Because you will pay…

Adam Lambert May Be Coming Out In Next Rolling Stone - American Idol 8

adam-lambert-01-2009-03-10.jpg

In what will come as no surprise to some, several high-placed sources–including Rolling Stone itself–are saying that it’s a virtual certainty that Adam Lambert will come out of the closet, perhaps as early as the next issue of Rolling Stone.

That news probably irks all of the female fans who are trolling this site looking for answers about Lambert’s sexuality after seeing his man-on-man action photos.

And Kara DioGuardi mentioned it too on The View this morning, which tells me it’s all a done deal. Watch DioGuardi’s video “news” above!

Lambert probably even posed for the magazine cover while he’s been in New York this week. But here’s what New York Post Page Six had to say:

He didn’t want it to be an issue during the contest, but he’s fine with his sexuality,” we’re told. In the past, when asked about it, Lambert has only said, “Keep speculating.” A rep for Rolling Stone said, “We don’t comment on future covers.” Lambert’s rep, Roger Widynowski, didn’t return e-mails.

Oh, yeah, Lambert’s coming out. In fact, I’d bet money on it.

So You Think You Can Dance 5 - Memphis Auditions - Highlights

So You Think You Can Dance auditions continued in Memphis and they were the most memorable of the first night!

That’s thanks to a guy named Chris Carrozza, who is part batshit crazy, part hounddog. He has invented his own style of dancing which he calls “Electric.” It has a minimal amount of breakdancing and pop-and-locking. Hehe.

Hey, every show needs a person like this, to make everyone laugh. And he didn’t take it seriously, getting all snippy with the judges. First he got into it with Nigel, and that was funny. Then he didn’t want to hear from Lil C, the hip-hop judge.

Watch Chris’ routine at about 6:30 into the video above.

More from the other dancers at the Memphis auditions later.

So You Think You Can Dance - Miami Auditions - Highlights

jospeh-smith-sytycd.jpgparis-sytycd.jpgtalia-sytycd.jpg

So You Think You Can Dance started its fifth season last night, taking us to Miami. Ah, the sun and the sand…And Mary Murphy. Hehe.

You know craziness is the name of the game with this show. Some of the highlights from last night’s first audition (the other was in Memphis) were (photos from top to bottom):

Joseph Smith, age 20 from Orlando - This dude not only had his own style of dance, but his own vocabulary! WTF? He also had his own word, “schwam.” Whatever that means, but it was hilarious to watch. Anyway, Smith schwammed his way into Vegas after making it through the choreography round, which meant the judges weren’t totally convinced about this guy.

Paris Torres, age 19 from Seattle - Paris is a former Miss Washington and her dance moves were not only breathtaking, but kind of mesmerizing. She could be one to watch and the judges didn’t even make her go to choreography. I think that says it all.

Talia Rickards, age 24 from Miami - Her husband died two years ago in a motorcycle accident, but now she’s ready to get back to doing what she loves. Sound like Danny Gokey? Not quite, but there is a definite storyline here and so she will be popular. Thing is she can also dance, so another one to watch out for.

In all, the judges sent a total of 32 dancers from Miami to Vegas for the next round of competition. Next up: Memphis.

AT&T, FOX Respond to Kris Allen Voter Fraud Controversy - Text Gate - Power Texting - American Idol 8

top2-today.jpg

After the New York Times got wind of this story and basically shoved it up your butts, it became such a huge spectacle. Kind of.

And even though Adam and Kris were on The Today Show saying there is no controversy, the giants who started all this mess in the first place, AT&T and FOX, issued statements.

If AT&T and FIX are issuing statements, then why isn’t there something going on here? Hmm…

Here’s AT&T’s statement. It reads:

“Last week, countless parties were held in homes, bars, and other public places across America to watch the American Idol finale. In Arkansas, a few local AT&T employees were invited to attend two local watch parties organized by the community,” AT&T says. “Caught up in the enthusiasm of rooting for their hometown contestant, they brought a small number of demo phones with them and provided texting tutorials to those who were interested.

“Going forward, we will make sure our employees understand our sponsorship celebrates the competition, not individual contestants. That said, it’s quite a leap to suggest that a few individuals could have impacted the final results.”

Um, a few? It’s funny that AT&T didn’t mention that they were urging Allen fans to do power texting, and may have shown them how to do such a thing.

As far as FOX goes, theirs sounds like more of a disclaimer than an actual statement. But would you expect anything less?

It reads:

“Fox and the producers of American Idol are absolutely certain that the results of this competition are fair, accurate and verified. Kris Allen is, without a doubt, the American Idol. We have an independent third-party monitoring procedure in place to ensure the integrity of the voting process. In no way did any individuals unfairly influence the outcome of the competition.”

Adam Lambert Fans On Warpath, Claiming Voter Fraud - American Idol 8

aandk-larry.jpg

You had to know it would only be a matter of time before Adam Lambert fans got hold of this and ran with it, like a Kenyan marathoner. (No offense to Kenyans; it sounded good at the time. LOLZ)

Anyway, the giant reporters at the New York Times got hold of this story like the swine flu times 100 and have now propelled it into cyberpsace at warp speed. It’s actually making the swine flu stories look small by comparison.

Key at the heart of the complaint is that AT&T may have helped “sway” Kris Allen voters and fans of Allen at some of his parties. This, of course, is nothing new if you’re an Idol fan like me.

AT&T has been doing this for years, and it’s been successful, helping Taylor Hicks win in season 5. So to say it didn’t help Allen–who reportedly may have had as many as 39 million votes from his home state of Arkansas–is not really hitting the point here.

The point is, is it fair for Allen to receive this kind of help? I think that is the reason why America–and Lambert fans in particular–are up in arms over this, and why this controversy, now labeled “Text Gate” won’t go away soon.

Record Producer Says Danny Gokey May Not Make A Record - American Idol 8

danny-interview.jpg

First, Clay Aiken’s rant about Adam being horrible–for which he later apologized–and now this:

Daughtry’s record producer is going on the record saying that Danny Gokey will not make a record, despite the fact that Danny finished third in one of the best Idol seasons ever.

Is he destined for the same fate that befell Constantine Maroulis? Playing lingerie departments and street corners to anyone who would listen? According to this guy, yeah:

In fact, Howard Benson, who has worked with Chris Daughtry and Kelly Clarkson, doesn’t think Gokey has a future in the industry. “The hardest record to make is Gokey’s record, which is why I don’t think he’s going to make one,” Benson told MTV News. “It would be very tough to make a record with him.

“I don’t think he established who he was at all,” Benson continued, citing a prevailing worry among record execs. “He has this great, soulful voice. But he dresses like some guy that’s in a bar somewhere. He doesn’t look the part.”

That “some guy in a bar somewhere” has a huge Christian following, thanks, and that’s probably where Gokey will head towards, having the same success as Chris Sligh–or possibly more–because that is where he best fits.

From a commercial perspective, Benson is right, but I do think there is a market for Gokey because of his likeability. It might just take awhile for Danny to find it, though. Only time will tell.

Adam Lambert Update: Queen Did Not Invite Him To Be Lead Singer - Larry King Live - American Idol 8

adam-king-01-2009-05-26.jpg

We have an update from Adam Lambert on whether or not he will be Queen’s lead singer.

Apparently he has been invited to perform on tour with the legendary band, but he said he has not been asked to be their lead singer yet.

He said they still need to “work it all out,” since it could conflict with the American Idols Live tour, and that he would perform with Queen “here and there,” if the schedules worked out. He did not get into specifics.

He did add he wanted to do a pop/electronic album, though, and I can’t wait for that. Hopefully it comes out sooner rather than later.
