Allison Iraheta - Someone To Watch Over Me - Top 5 - Rat Pack Theme Week - American Idol 8

Published by bjcrock at 8:06 pm under Allison Iraheta, american idol 8 Edit This

Allison opened with the jazz classic “Someone To Watch Over Me,” which was good, but a little throaty for me.

I also couldn’t understand half of the lyrics, but I think she’ll make a lot of country records with that voice, as she continues to find out what kind of singer she is.

Randy said, “You come out looking like Brittany Murphy and like Pink with a hundred more octaves.”

Kara said “I aint nervous for you anymore, let me tell you.” She also called it a “gut-wrenching, emotional, way beyond your years” type of performance.

Paula said the song had an “innocent sensibility.” Simon asked her if she thought she could win this competition and she said she did.

Simon added he doesn’t believe she believes she can win, and he said she “could be in horrible trouble tonight.”
