Matt needed this performance like the flowers need the rain, to quote a famous song. He came out in a fedora and leather jacket looking like a lost Blues Brother.
His arrangement was okay, not great, but it might be enough to keep him around for another week, based on what some of the other singers did.
Randy said he “didn’t love the song choice<’ but added that Matt, like the other six contestants remaining, could really sing.
Kara said “you turned the mood back to disco.” I don’t know if that’s a compliment, or if she meant that as such.
Paula said “you pick songs like I bowl,” adding that she sometimes throws gutterballs and other times strikes.
Simon said “I don’t actually like this performance” and added he thought it was desperate. Oh, boy…gonna be an interesting results show tomorrow. Did he do enough to stay?
