Allison Iraheta - Don’t Want To Miss A Thing - Top 7 - Idols At The Movies - American Idol 8
Allison opened “Idols At The Movies” with crazy but passionate mentor Quentin Tarantino and the opening lines of Iraheta’s song sounded so much like Steven Tyler that it was ridiculous (minus the passion, of course).
But she managed to keep her rocker edginess about her and did the song by Aerosmith justice by the end, even adding some of her own flavor to it.
She also had more personality tonight than on other nights, something which the judges have chastised her for, and something I believe may be her eventual downfall.
For me, the song was just OK. But what was up with the Elvira wig? I don’t think that added a lot to her performance. I know they’re trying to make her look older, but that wig was dumb.
Paula said she possesses “the special sauce” and compared her to Adam Lambert. Simon didn’t quite agree with Paula, but he did mention that “you are the girls’ only hope in this competition.”
That said, it was probably good enough to see her through to next week.

Stumble It!
