Adam Lambert - Born To Be Wild - Idols at The Movies - Top 7 - American Idol 8

Published by bjcrock at 9:27 pm under Adam Lambert, american idol 8 Edit This

Amid a backdrop of lightning (and before that some wild gesticulating from mentor Quentin Tarantino) Adam strutted out on the stage ready to kick ass.

But this version of the Steppenwolf classic left me feeling a little empty. It was campy, corny, and over performed. Until the end, that is.

Then we finally got a taste of that Adam magic and all was well in Hollywood and on our TV screens.

The crowd erupted, naturally, because he still is the fan favorite and Paula leapt to her feet, saying “you dare to dance in the path of greatness.”

Simon joked and told Adam “You have to learn to express yourself a little more.” On the downside the evi Cowell also said he didn’t like it, comparing the performance to something from the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

What do the Lambert fans think of Simon’s comments?

I loved it and Simon did too - he was just trying to balance out Paula’s OTT praise, imo.
Adam is …well, thrilling!, and fabulous!, and crazy-good and beautiful, and smart and wild and just oozes sex appeal. I am completely enthralled when he’s onstage - oh, crap, I’m starting to sound like Paula.

I don’t watch the show because I am more of a metal fan but I really like this guy, I think he is on the wrong show. I did watch the Rock Star programs and loved them.

I hate Simon he is an idiot. I don’t care who he is talking to, he is one of those jerks that is always right even when he is dead wrong.
