Megan Joy Corkrey used the same song that propelled Katharine McPhee years ago to fame on Idol and had the same result. So the state of Utah (hy home state, BTW) has yet another representative in the finals.

Last year it was David Archuleta; this year it’s Megan. Paula said the song fits her personality. Simon said he likes her and she’s “current.” Randy said she could make a record with this type of song.

And after being paired with Tatiana the judges chose Megan for the Top 13 instead of Tatiana, which made me happy. Megan has been solid throughout the competition and has stayed true to herself.
