American Idle

It was a tough night, because there were so many okay performances and only a handful of great ones, the great ones courtesy of Von Smith, Jorge Nunez and Lil Rounds.

Speaking of Smith, he sang “You’re All I Need” by Marvin Gaye. He kicked off night three in grand fashion, belting out a song he had to nail. Randy said he’s “finding himself.” Paula said it was a memorable first.

And first is always the hardest spot, so that tells you how well he did. And Simon said he reminds him of Clay Aiken. Hopefully that doesn’t mean he has to get through on a WildCard, but if he does, watch out.
