Paula, Paula, Paula. Now that her stalker (who attacked me every time I talked bad about her on my old Web site, BTW) is six feet under. Abdul is getting back to what she does best: promoting herself. First she did a quasi-reality-TV-show called “Rah!” for MTV, in which she “hand-picked” teams from schools like Montana (LOL), Hawaii and Miami (Ohio) to do battle in a winner-takes-all cheerleading competition. The gist of the show is it showed Paula acting like a bitch to these college cheer teams in order to get them to win the competition. Think of it as “peer leadership” without the ship. Anyway, Hawaii narrowly defeated Montana to win it all. Hehe Now that the show is over Abdul is now gonna hawk some jewelry she designed (photo above) on HSN, which is the same baubles she gives to all of the female (and perhaps some male) contestants on American Idol. Oh look, we have another Top 50 contestant! This one might make some pundits angry, but we’re here to please, you know. Joes Place, our reliable industry spoiler is reporting that a former Nashville Star season 2 contestant named Brent Keith Smith has now been rumored as being in the top 50 of season 8 of Idol. Keep in mind it’s a rumor, people and that we were wrong about Emily Wynne-Hughes, the last person Britney Spears saw before shaving her head. Dang, I was bummed about that! Anyway, Smith has a long track record (and possibly had a record contract) and here he’s performing on the “Wal-Mart Tour” (LOL) in the video above. He’s the dude in the Ohio State shirt, not the red shirt. And he’s singing a Josh Gracin tune. Ironic? Um, yeah, especially if what we’re hearing is true.

Oh finally, BTW, Kelly Clarkson thinks her album cover is hilarious. She blogs on her official www.iamkelly.com site that “it’s very colorful and they have definitely photo-shopped the crap out of mebut I don’t care haha! Whoever she is she looks great Ha!”
