David Archuleta Sings Contemporary Hit “A Thousand Miles” - American Idol 7 - David Archuleta - American Idle
Even though this post isn’t very Christmas-y, it is something different. David Archuleta was at the Z100 Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden Friday evening singing and playing some mean piano.
He tickled the ebony and ivory to the delight of the fans, who were squealing so loud in the above video it often drowned out his vocals, while he sang “A Thousand Miles,” which is not neccssariley his song per se, but was good nonetheless.
He was at the Jingle Ball along with stars like Rihanna, Kanye West, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, Leona Lewis, Jesse McCartney and others. The proceeds raised at the concert were to benefit the group Standup2Cancer.
As for Archuleta he’ll continue his “Jingle Ball” Christmas promotional tour (I think there’s a joke somewhere in that sentence) with his next stop being Houston, before taking three more pit stops this week and ending up in Camden, N.J. next Sunday.
So as you can see, Archie is mucho busy with his schedule and all! One interesting piece of news that came into me last night, however: Ramiele Malubay is gearing up for a three-month tour/trip to the Philippines, which is usually where Idols go to die. Just kidding. They play a slew of shopping malls and then they’re hardly ever heard from again.
Starting tomorrow, look for a new segment on American Idle, in which I will post a series of news briefs with my take on the story at hand. Should make for some interesting reading.
