Elliott Yamin Coming Out With New Christmas Album - American Idol - Elliott Yamin
Taylor Hicks isn’t the only Idol who’s coming out with something new. Elliott Yamin (ironically one of my all-time favorites from the show) is also coming out with a new album, except you can already find his on iTunes and on Amazon!
If you go to my original American Idle site you can find a link there. For Yamin, who just wrapped up a tour to Japan, the news that he’s back stateside is good, indeed. The other nice thing about this Christmas Album is that even though there are some versions of already popular holiday tunes, like “Jingle Bells,” The Christmas Song,” “Little Drummer Boy,” and “Merry Christmas, Baby,” you can find some new songs you’ve never heard before.
And they have catchy (and somewhat naughty) titles too! LOL Songs like “Warm Me Up” (Which you can listen to above!) “Let’s Be Naughty” (An obvious theme going here), “Back Door Santa” (I’ll let you use your imagination on that one!) and my favorite, “Christmas Without Carol,” not only showcase Yamin’s imagination, but also his songwriting ability.
Yamin really is a double threat and it’s been a broken record that some very talented Idols of yore haven’t had the same mainstream success as say, Carrie Underwood or even David Cook if we’re talking about recent Idols.
I blame 19 Entertainment, who continues to try to capitalize off these talented singers and have them do Aisan mall tours when they really should be trying to get them in the studio recording more often. Yamin isn’t the only talented singer who has had to go his own way.
But it’s good to know these Idols aren’t laying down and dying. So get yourself something for Xmas and pick up Yamin’s new album. It’s solid and well worth it.
