American Idle

Brooke White is competing with Jason Castro (and winning) for the slowest Idol release ever. Even though Castro is busy doing other things, like charity red carpet events and the like, Brooke has been, by her own admission, chilling out. Her latest video (a vlog, as it were) is her first, admittedly, in some time.

Since there are rumors she may be going into country music and has talked about heading to Nashville, she will fit right in with the rest of ‘em. But she’ll need a gun, a truck and a sad story, preferably a relationship gone bad (Hasn’t she roomed with Castro in the past? Well, there ya go!) or something like that.

In this video she talks about writing a few songs, blah, blah, blah. But nothing, NOTHING about actually coming up with songs for an album, which by the way…is still supposedly in the works.

Will she be another blonde Idol who will make good in the Music City, a la Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler? Possibly, but first she needs…(drum roll, please) an album. This will obviously make her fans happy and 19 Entertainment might have something good to say about it as well. Otherwise she will go the way of Sanjaya, who has nary an album nor a career to speak of. LIke Sanjaya Brooke has good hair. Perhaps that has something to do with it.

It’s all good to be laid back about things, you know, but usually your career takes off in the right direction if you put out an album after your time on American Idol is through. That’s just the way it works; I don’t make these things up. Maybe she’s been spending too much time with Castro. I’d say she may need to stay away from Castro; he’s a baaad influence. LOL
