Constantine Maroulis In Rock Of Ages On Conan O’ Brien Show - American Idol - Constantine Maroulis

Published by bjcrock at 10:48 am under american idol Edit This

Normally Constantine Maroulis has to work hard to make fun of himself when he’s on stage. Not this time! If you heard about his performance in the lingerie section of SteinMart (yes it’s true) in front of a throng of screaming ladies (uh, cougars) you would know this guy is about putting on the cheese extra thick.

But after watching his “performance” of Rock Of Ages on Late Night With Conan O’Brien he has outdone himself. It’s like watching “Broadway For Dummies,” except I’d rather poke my eyes out with a blunt instrument and then jab my ears until they bleed. If that doesn’t stop the pain from entering the inner chambers of my brain I’d look for more drastic measures (use your imagination here).

He’s gone above and beyond the call of duty in this show, though, parading out in front of a crowd as if he and his cohorts were members of a motorcycle gang. Hopefully they don’t try and pee in public.

They look as though they need to go smoke some cigarettes out back in the alley way, too. And the show has all the elements of a bad 80’s rock show. Big hair? Check. Leather? Yeah. And warbling loud enough to make glass shatter? Ditto.

Naturally Maroulis has to end the show with something annoying, so just before the curtain closes on this crap fest he decides to let everyone know he’s a rock star. I’ve heard better star turns at the local bar from some kid playing his first gig.
