Constantine Maroulis Is Now In “Rock Of Ages” On Off-Broadway - American Idol

Published by bjcrock at 10:38 am under Uncategorized Edit This

Constantine Maroulis is the kind of guy who does strange things in his singing career. The first thing that comes to mind is his eek-inspiring, campy moments on American Idol. Then, who can forget his “performance” in the ladies lingerie section of Stein Mart years after his Idol success?

Oh, the madness ensued from that show, where ladies far and wide (about 50, actually) started throwing their panties onto the makeshift stage in support of their man.

Then Constantine started appearing on soap operas, including “The Bold and the Beautiful,” in which he made goo-goo eyes (or sexual innuendo with his eyes) at the TV audience.

Come to think of it, he does that all the time. Now he’s on off-Broadway (NOT BROADWAY), starring as Drew, an (choke) aspiring singer and barback in “Rock of Ages,” an ode to all those campy ‘80s songs and music. Heh.

And if that weren’t bad enough, Constantine announced to the world that he’s (drum roll) single. Gee, never would have thought that one. I’d think it would be kinda hard to get some play after you played a Stein Mart and had old ladies chucking their size XXL panties your way. But that’s just a guess.

Anyway, above’s a preview of Constantine in “Rock of Ages.” It officially opens in New York this weekend, so go see it and have a few laughs.
