David Cook On Saturday Night Live November 1? It’s Been Confirmed - American Idol 7 - David Cook

Published by bjcrock at 2:00 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

cook_album1.jpgfeypalin_21.jpgIn what is obviously a major coup for his camp (and just days before the big Presidential election) David Cook will appear on Saturday Night Live November 1! This just 17 days before the release of his self-titled album!!

Speaking of the album, it’s been Photoshopped a bit. Either that or Cook’s lost some weight. And what’s with the half-frown? Dude has been making a killing with his new single! He should be the happiest Idol since Sanjaya!!

The appearance will mark the first time the American Idol champion has appeared on the show. Rumors are rampant that one or both Presidential candidates will appear on the show as well, giving Cook’s record sales and Internet downloads a major boost in the process. What would be even better is if Cook could appear alongside Tina Fey, who does a mean Sarah Palin impression.

But both Obama and McCain in the flesh (and possibly their impersonators) may also appear on SNL’s “Election Bash,” which is scheduled for November 3, the night before the big election. So there’s no telling if Cook will be joined by some big politicos.

As for Cook, he is putting the last details on his album and finalizing band members. But it will be awfully exciting to see Cook on SNL, since there have only been three other Idols who have even made it onto the big stage at 30 Rockefeller Center in New York.

Cool! Another reason to watch SNL these days besides Tina Fey.
